Ms Phoebe Kay

Having just left a career in primary school teaching in the West End of Newcastle, I have recently begun a new role working as an education administrator at Newcastle University, supporting intercalating medical students.Through this role, I have learned new skills in data analysis, finance and supporting the wider running’s of the university. Previously, I was a staff governor, sitting on the curriculum team with a key interest in writing and outdoor learning. I supported the school as leader of history, geography and writing as well as sitting on the senior leadership team as a key stage leader, therefore, I have a good understanding of the inner workings of a school.I have grown up in Gosforth and went through the Gosforth system, beginning my education at South Gosforth First School. Being a part of the SGFS governing body would be an honour and I am committed to helping the school provide the best possible education and opportunities for all pupils, while supporting its long term vision and success.
